Two SMCAA staff members graduate from MCA's Leadership Development Institute
Two SMCAA staff members, Glenda Chadwick as Finance/HR Assistant and Jeremy Weinrick as HARA/Shelter Coordinator, graduated from Michigan Community Action Association's Leadership Development Institute (LDI) today.
The MCA Leadership Development Institute is an innovative learning experience designed for increasing
awareness and impact of the role of community action by strengthening leadership depth and acumen
in Michigan’s Community Action Agencies. LDI is specifically developed for entry and mid-level leaders who desire to increase their leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
Over approximately nine months, emerging Community Action Agency leaders from across the state proceed through the training program as a cohort or class. Cohort members met on a regular basis with a facilitator to build core competencies, skills, behaviors, and attitudes that engage and inspire successful leaders of the future. Topics span from communication to change management with the goal of increasing participants leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
Graduates were recognized at the annual MCA summer conference on July 20, 2023 at Crystal Mountain Resort.
